Vacancy: Divisional Organiser
Tuesday 19 May 2026Mandate Trade Union has a vacancy for a Divisional Organiser located in our Western and North & West Region. The Divisional Organiser is a senior position within the union, with overall responsibility for the operation of the division to which they are appointed. There is also a requirement to provide cross divisional support and collaboration with other divisions within the union and to engage on national projects/teams under the direction of the Assistant General Secretary/National Coordinator as the need arises. Salary range €63,000 – €77,000.
The role and responsibilities require demonstrable proficiency in the following key areas:
- Ability to effectively organise both current and prospective members.
- Recruitment of workers into the union.
- Individual and collective grievance handling at local, national, and third-party level.
- Collective bargaining/negotiating skills.
- Campaigning on workplace and social issues.
- Leadership/Teambuilding.
The successful candidate must also be able to demonstrate a proven track record in the Trade Union movement in addition to a strong sense of social justice.
A clean full driving licence is also essential.
