Referral to the Workplace Relations Commission

To date we have not received any further responses from company management on the pay and benefits claim.
As a result, we have now asked the Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) to get involved. The WRC is a state body which assists in resolving industrial relations issues. The WRC will soon invite McCauley’s management to meet and engage with us on the priorities that you have raised. This may take a few weeks to schedule, but ultimately it depends on company management’s willingness to engage. If management refuse to engage with the WRC process we will soon be arranging meetings with members from all stores to consider and decide the next actions to take as a union. We will keep you informed of all developments as they occur.
