RE:      Outcome of Local Union Representatives Meeting to Consider Labour Court Recommendation LCR NO. 20727
Dear Member
A meeting of local union representatives of both Sales Advisor and Section Manager grades was held today the 28th March to consider the contents of the recently issued Labour Court recommendation. The meeting was well attended and all stores had representatives present.
Following a lengthy debate it was decided by a majority of 95% to recommend rejection of the
Labour Court recommendation. It was the considered view of those present that the recommendation did not represent a fair and balanced solution to the issues currently in dispute.
Accordingly store based ballots of all members will be conducted over the coming weeks at which the general membership will be asked to support the decision of today’s meeting to reject the recommendation.
Further details of your ballot will follow in the next few days and the representatives present today have been given copies of the recommendation which they will distribute on their return to their individual stores.
If you have any queries regarding the above you should contact your local representative or union official
Yours fraternally
For Mandate
